Remembering our angels, supporting their families

When a family loses a child, the days that follow are heavy. We step in with funeral support, a steady community, and practical help so no family has to walk that road alone.

Why we exist

Care that meets a family where they are

Little Jem Foundation Incorporated is a small registered charity based in Tinamba West. We help families in Victoria who have lost a baby or child — during pregnancy, as a newborn, or later in childhood.

Our first work is practical. We help with funeral costs and the sudden bills that arrive when a family is still in shock. We also sit with people. Grief is not something to rush. A cup of tea, a support meeting and a phone call still matter.

We are also changing with the times. Families look for help online now. So we use social media to reach people who need us, and we teach simple digital skills that can support healing and, when someone is ready, a way to earn.

Mission and vision

What we stand for

Our mission

To walk beside families after the loss of a child. We ease funeral and related costs, offer family support and bereavement care, and help people learn simple digital skills that can support healing and a living.

Our vision

A community where no family faces the death of a child alone — and where care keeps up with the world families live in now, including online spaces, tools and grants that make help easier to find and easier to give.

No family should feel alone in their darkest hour.

What we do

Four simple ways we show up

01

Funeral support

Help with funeral costs and other sudden expenses so a family can focus on honouring their child.

02

Family support

A listening place, support meetings and bereavement counselling when someone wants to talk.

03

Community awareness

Local events and social media so families in Gippsland and across Victoria know they can reach us.

04

Digital skills

Gentle teaching of photo and video basics, and useful AI tools, when a family is ready to learn.

Moving with the times

Help that now lives online as well as next door

We still believe in local, face-to-face care. That will not change. What has changed is how families search for help, and how some people later rebuild a working life.

We use social media to find families who need us, and we look for digital grants and nonprofit tools that stretch every donated dollar. If a parent wants to learn basic image or video editing, or how to use simple AI tools in a careful way, we will walk through that with them.
